Let us look at the brands that launched unisex lines and collections.
American Eagle
During the 2024 Pride Month, American Eagle launched a unisex collection of rainbow-based clothing such as graphic T-shirts, polos, loungewear, etc., and accessories. The brand also donated a part to It Gets Better at that time.
Ann Demeulemeester
In September 2023, Ann Demeulemeester dropped its first-ever fragrance, named “A,” for all genders with a touch of clove, lemon, jasmine, patchouli, and many more.
Aries with Fila
Aries, in collaboration with Fila, came up with a genderless capsule collection named Vela Nera that amalgamates the former’s designing ethos and the latter’s archival styles in May 2022. The collection remarks the celebration of the past and future.
De Beers
De Beers unveiled its RVL unisex jewelry collection of rings, bracelets, and pendant chains with concealed DB monograms in October 2023.
Giorgio Armani
Giorgio Armani released a gender-neutral collection, seeking inspiration from its rigid tailoring style and fluid silhouette from the 1980s. The special capsule collection was launched in Selfridges in November 2023.
Gucci
In July 2020, Gucci became the first luxury brand to create a genderless category. It created a separate line on its website as a brand named Gucci MX. Firstly, it featured the Pre-Fall and FW 2022 collection.
Levi's with Atelier Reserve
In December 2021, Levi's and Atelier Reserve joined forces to come up with a genderless collection of reconstructed graphic hoodies, flannel shirts, and Sherpa Trucker jackets.
Louis Vuitton
In September 2020, Louis Vuitton dropped its gender-neutral LV Volt jewelry collection, featuring accessories such as rings, pendants, bangles, and bracelets with the label’s iconic LV initials. The collection campaign was starred by the actress Alicia Vikander, artist Sharon Alexie, dancer Hugo Marchand, and model Xiao Xing Mao
Maison Martin Margiela
Maison Martin Margiela showcased its genderless fashion for the first time at its Fall-Winter 2019 show from John Galliano. This event marked the arrival of coed fashion into the luxury world.
Nike with Martine Rose
In July 2023, Nike and Martine Rose launched a unisex collection that speaks about breaking down barriers in football clothing for women. It offers suits, trenches, and trousers along with accessories such as sunglasses, gloves, and stockings.
Palace
In September 2023, Palace Skateboards unveiled a unisex loungewear collection, titled ‘Drop 1,’ after its Winter 2023 collection show. It consists of joggers, T-shirts, and hoodies with baggy fit and wide-cropped cuttings for comfort.
Phluid with Zalando
In September 2022, Phluid and Zalando GmbH revealed their unisex collection of clothing, footwear and accessories. The collection’s silhouette included skin tights, cropped, sheer looks, and flowy and asymmetric cuts.
Puma with Palomo Spain
Puma and Palomo Spain teamed up for the 70s and 80s-influenced genderless collection of knits that features the athletic and disco glamor aesthetic in May 2024. The collaboration was available at the websites of both brands and flagships as well as selected retailers of Puma.
Reebok
Reebok launched its genderless collection, ‘Unity by Reebok,’ for the 2023 Pride Month featuring rainbow-hued apparel and footwear. The limited-edition collection was available on the official website of the brand.
Stella McCartney
In September 2020, Stella McCartney created its first unisex collection entitled ‘Shared,’ commemorating young activists. The collection explored gender fluidity and the missing communication in new generations.
Telfar
Telfar has launched a gender-neutral denim line that showcases the designer’s earlier days in the 2000s in the same month of the Puma x Palomo Spain collection.
Tiffany & Co.
Tiffany & Co. dropped its first genderless jewelry Collection with the Tiffany Lock in August 2022 and expanded the collection with a set of new earrings, pendants, earrings, and accessories in July 2023. The newly expanded collection got a campaign featuring Blackpink’s Rosé.
Wildfang
Wildfang released an unisex bridal collection in May 2024 with a non-traditional aesthetic. The wedding collection included plus-size clothes too.
Zadig & Voltaire
Zadig & Voltaire let out its first genderless ready-to-wear capsule collection, comprising 40 pieces with the typical colors of the brand, in September 2023. The collection was made available exclusively in the pop-up stores of New York and Paris and, later, released worldwide.
