Here are the brands that have released their styles of wearable technology.
Chanel
In September 2024, Chanel launched its first-ever wearable technology with its Première Sound watch which transforms into a necklace, incorporating a microphone, wired headphones, and a remote control system. The watch is created in partnership with the audio specialist company Master & Dynamic. Première Sound has been introduced in the brand stores with a retail price of €14.800. Its campaign, named “Wired It Girl,” featured Lily-Rose Depp.
Coperni
For its SS24 show, Coperni teamed up with Humane AI Pin which made its pre-launch debut at its SS24 show at Paris Fashion Week, prior to its full unveiling in November 2023. Humane AI has created an intelligent wearable pin powered by AI which is intended to be worn by the wearer everyday. The pin can project apps, calls and many more but, at the same time, it focuses on privacy.
Gucci
In May 2022, Gucci collaborated with the health tech company in Finland, Oura, to release a branded body-monitoring ring with the label’s signature interlocking G logo embossed on it in 18K gold. Priced at $950, the ring can track heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and sleep. It was made available on the online platform and in selected stores of the brand.
Kate Spade
In June 2015, Kate Spade partnered with startup Everpurse to create a bag collection, comprising clutches, totes, backpacks and more, with an internal charging port to charge smartphones on the go.
Louis Vuitton
In May 2019, Louis Vuitton dropped a handbag with an in-built LED display with 1920 x 1440 pixels as a part of the collection Canvas of the Future for Cruise 2020 show in New York. The screen displayed views of New York and the collection's production.
Prada
In March 2015, Prada created an Amex Centurion payment bracelet, accessible only by members who own an Amex Centurion card to pay for their big purchases. The bracelet is made of full-grain Saffiano leather. It is a double-wrap bracelet with a metal buckle and a microchip inside that facilitates payment.
Ralph Lauren
In January 2015, Ralph Lauren launched an updated Ricky Bag with Light, which includes a portable charger and four LED lights that turn on when the bag is opened. The product is priced at $5.000, a 42% increase from the usual $3.500.
Swarovski
In June 2015, Swarovski joined forces with Misfit to launch Shine, a collection of crystal-embellished fitness trackers that can bejeweled in accessories including pendants and watches. The Shine comes in two versions - one is a solar-powered violet-blue crystal and another one is a general clear crystal. The Shine collection comes in three starter sets with two accessories in each set, priced in the range between $170 and $250.
Tory Burch
In July 2014, the Tory Burch for Fitbit collaborative accessories collection was released exclusively for the Fitbit Flex
wireless sleep and activity tracking wristband. The collection featured brass pendants (priced at $175), bracelets (priced at $195), and silicone wristbands (priced at $38). It was available through both Fitbit and Tory Burch's official websites as well as the large North American retailers.
