Here are the top trends to look out for in the Jewellery industry in 2025.
Big-statement Hand Bangles
Bangles and handcuffs played a huge part in the runways of the SS25 collection. Emporio Armani featured large stacked bangles in the silver shade, whereas Zimmermann went with the shaped bangles made with the contemporary bangle-making technique. Other than that, brands such as Saint Laurent, Sacai, Elie Saab, and Balmain featured bangles on the models’ wrists. The handcuffs are presented in oversized, chunky, wavy, and unsymmetrical ways. For instance, Tiffany & Co. brought back its iconic designs from the 70s. It launched the Small bone cuff in collaboration with Elsa Peretti which is sculpted in a big and disproportionate way. Other examples include Oma The Label’s Oriki Bangle, Reiss’ Sculptural Cuff, Free People’s Perth Abstract Bangle, COS’ Sculpted Cuff, and & Other Stories’ Wavy Cuff Bracelet.
Bohemian-style jewellery
Consumers witnessed a lot of bohemian-style ornaments coming back to life in the SS25 shows. Beaded jewellery is one of the most seen jewellery types in this topic. Ralph Lauren featured Bohemian styles of apparel paired with different-sized beaded multi-layered jewellery in its SS25 show. Saint Laurent displayed beaded jewellery paired with golden embellishments and a backchain in its SS25 runway. Other brands such as Zimmermann, Isabel Marant, and Louis Vuitton showcased the same. Some of the real-life products include Carolina Bucci’s Forte Beaded Cartagena Necklace and Casa Clara’s Flynn Necklace.
Another type of the nomadic-style jewellery is the cord-tied necklaces. The roped pendant came back to the limelight in 2024 and is expected to continue its journey in 2025, thanks to the Giorgio Armani Spring-Summer 1999 runway being a huge inspiration still now. Ami Paris featured a thick corded sculpted gold-silver pendant in its SS25 show. Some of the notable products of this type are COS' oversized molten pendant necklace and Agmes’ Large wishbone silver necklace.
Pearl All The Way
The SS25 shows were highlighted with pearls, especially the molten-style ones. Brands such as Chloé and Bottega Veneta presented their collection with tassel earrings, oversized pendants, and big handcuffs, all embellished with pearls. To infuse a contemporary taste to it, the brands are also using molten-type pearls that are jaunty, bashed, and in unique sizes and shapes. Brands that are showcasing these types of jewellery include Missoma (with Square Pearl Statement Earrings, and Kitty Joyas (Twirl Pearl Earrings). Infusion of pearls is limited to earrings, pendants, and handcuffs. Brands are trying to use them on different placements such as rings, bracelets, and more.
Layered Chains
It is like a revisit to the 90s era. Many layered chains were seen in the SS25 runways. Chanel showcased dainty pearl-infused layered waist chains and Miu Miu featured a broad statement chain belt with different thick layers like a concho belt in their SS25 runways. The layered waist chains were featured in both subtle and elaborate ways. Some of the brands that are experts in layered body chains are Petit Moments (Dazed Body Chain), and Lele Sadoughi (Tahitian Pearl Clementine Charm Belt).
Another way of using layered chains is with necklaces. Balmain and Chloé displayed their own versions of layered chain necklaces paired with tassels. Labels like Kendra Scott (Phara Lariat necklace) and Panacea (layered tassel Y-necklace) sell tassel-embellished layered necklaces.
Chunky Necklace and Elevated Brooches
Brooches and pins have been used as a crucial ornament on the runways for a few seasons and they are expected to have the same attention in 2025 by social media. For the SS25 season, brands like Lacoste (badminton-shaped layer-chained brooch with several props), and Johanna Ortiz (horse-shaped gold brooch) featured their own set of vintage-style brooches. Another trend that has been in the industry for a long time and is forecasted to be here in the future too is chunky necklaces. Consumers are expected to get more attracted to the Dolce Vitta-influenced oversized pendants, especially when they are lock-styled and heavyweight. Choice presented its overlock-style chunky necklaces and waist chains at the Dubai Fashion Week. Some of the brands that promote this type are Sezane, Tiffany & Co., & Other Stories, and Missoma.
Unisex Jewellery
There has been a growing acceptance of gender-flid identities. With this, consumers are looking for jewellery that goes beyond traditional gender norms. Designers are responding to this surge with jewellery pieces that cater to all genders through versatility. Some budding designers are fronting this movement. For example, labels such as At Present x Jalil Johnson are offering gender-neutral jewellery collections. B.P. de Silva from Singapore launched its first gender jewellery line, The Horizon Collection, inspired by its founder’s across-the-sea voyage times in the 1800s. Messika resurfaced the neo-1980s punk rock and sensual aesthetic with its gender-neutral Midnight Sun 2 jewellery collection.
