Italian e-commerce company, Yoox, posted positive financial results on the first quarter of this year. According to representatives, net profit went up to 110.4 million in euros, a 21.4 percent increase from last years’ 91 million, reports the Internet Retailer.
Yoox, based in Bologna, claims an average of 13.5 million new visitors to all of their luxury e-commerce sites, a notch up from last years 13.4 million. In the previous year 848,000 of these visitors were active consumers, reports show an increase at 15.2 percent this year, bringing active consumers to 977,000.
Apart from this, Yoox announced that they would discontinue the online store they were managing under Diesel S.p.A. that catered to the US market. Diesel is an Italian luxury brand, producing menswear and womenswear.
