Sneakerboy's Innovative Digital Retail Model

Sneakerboy is the world's first luxury streetwear and sneaker store based in Melbourne, Australia. It cooperates with many famous luxury brands that offer exclusive designer sneakers to their customers such as Balenciaga, Lanvin, Raf Simons, Maison Martin Margiela, Givenchy, Pierre Hardy, Giuseppe Zanotti and also limited edition collections of Nike, Adidas and Reebok. But, the most important feature of Sneakerboy is its extraordinary digital retail concept. According to the retailer, there is no point of a cash register in the store. All sales are done via an application on the customers' own smart phones or the existing in store iPads. The store acts only as a physical space where you try on the products that are purchased online.

" Young people know what they want; they are used to controlling their own environment, they shop online. I think they should be able to do that in the store as well. Our customers can come in, see an amazing range of products that are relevant to their tastes. They can
touch it, feel it, try it on, then scan it themselves, check if their size is available, they buy it from an iPad or phone and it will be delivered within three days.
" explains Chris Kyvetos, creative director of Sneakerboy. Sneakerboy currently owns two stores in Sydney and one in Melbourne. The store is also willing to enter the Asian Pacific market in the coming years to spread out its innovative retail concept, especially in South Korea, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
