Skechers' Legal Actions Against Reebok

The American shoe brand, Skechers has sued, Reebok, claiming that the footwear company has been selling a sneaker that infringes the copyrights of its GoWalk line.

Sketcher guarantees that Rebook has been selling a look-a-like shoes, "Reebok Walk Ahead RS" and is seeking compensatory and damages fees as well as an injunction against the footwear's company marketing of its copycat products.

“While we prefer to compete in the marketplace, Reebok is selling its infringing footwear to Skechers wholesale customers and in other sales channels where Skechers GoWalk is sold, and we believe this is causing us enormous damage. Considering our investment in Skechers GoWalk, we cannot allow a company the size of Reebok to infringe on one of our most valuable intellectual properties,” said David Weinberg, Skechers chief operation officer in a statement.
