Temperley London celebrated its 10th anniversary year in 2011 with its namesake creative director, Alice Temperley, MBE, heading up the House of Temperley with a design signature that has made her one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary British fashion. Alice Temperley's timeless, feminine designs combine meticulous detail and embellishments with an English eccentricity and personality drawing on everything British; Temperley is the modern day 'Cool Britannia'. Following the success of the launch collection in 2000 at London Fashion Week, the first Temperley London boutique opened in 2001 on Colville Mews in Notting Hill, London where the head office and design rooms are still situated. ALICE by Temperley, launched in 2010, is a contemporary sister line created to fulfill a need for an everyday Temperley look in a more accessible market. Temperley Bridal is an important part of the Temperley offering after the first bridal dresses were created following Alice's own wedding to Lars Von Bennigsen, the CEO of Temperley Ltd, in 2002. This year sees the launch of the 'Ophelia 2012' Temperley Bridal collection, offering for the first time a selection of ready to wear dresses that will be available outside of the Temperley Bridal salons as well as online at temperleylondon.com. The exclusive Bridal Salons can be found in the London Mews, Los Angeles, Melrose Avenue stores and in the Dubai boutique for private appointments only. The House of Temperley has also expanded into lifestyle with Temperley scented candles and has plans to move into homewear, menswear and childrenswear. The House produces 13 collections a year including; Cruise and Pre-Fall across the Temperley London and diffusion ALICE by Temperley line and 2 made-to-order bridal collections a year and key collaborations with leading British names such as the launch of Barbour Gold Label by Temperley in 2011. The company operates 3 stand alone stores in London, Los Angeles and Dubai, and online stores for both lines at: temperleylondon.com.
