A collaboration between Joe Bates, Sid Bryan and Cozette McCreery, SIBLING is all for one and one for all. The three bringing with them a strong heritage of experience with top name designers. Collectively as SIBLING they have worked with: Smiley, Swarovski, Barbie, Fashionary, G shock, Cassette Playa, Lulu & Co, Oxbow, Tween, Fred Perry and Underground shoes. SIBLING launched on May 29th 2008 with cartoon ka-pows of colour and bams of very English humour. The premier collection included bright and playful subversions of classic knitwear styles such as cashmere Twinsets in sequin leopard and sparkling Bretons. With Collection 1 including statements such as the beaded Ratus Ratus and Big Rat knits worn with traditionally tailored knitted School Blazer (SIBLING crest on the pocket), a show stopping fully knitted Biker Jacket in black cotton laminated to mimic worn leather and sculptural Deviant silhouettes their mission was clear from the offset: let’s put the fun into classics. Today, the leopard motifs, Breton stripes and vibrant colour have gone beyond aesthetics, becoming integral to the label’s DNA: knit house signatures, if you will. With SISTER by SIBLING they offer the same integrity and spirit to women. Their Knitted Skull and matching Skeleton leggings from Collection 2 are part of the permanent collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Their famous Knit Monster takes the cover of the book Doppelganger published by Gestalen and is traveling as part of the Global Wool Modern exhibition. Pandas Rock! And Tattooed Man will be exhibited in Holland in 2013 and their Sequin Kanaval Masks and their work with artists such as Noble & Webster have put smiles on everyone’s faces and made front covers. SIBLING worked with Pudsey for Children In Need 2012 and designed and produced an outfit for Disneyland Paris’ Extended 20th Anniversary celebrations to represent the UK in March 2013 along side Lanvin and Phillip Treacy. Awards include: Newgen Men and Women, Fashion Forward for Menswear and the first Dulux Colour Award: Best Use Of Colour In Fashion & Beauty. They have also been nominated to represent Europe at the Woolmark Prize final in Milan in 2014. The Sibling's ideal client is a man of any age with a sense of humour as defined in his sense of fashion.Brand Details
