Founded in 1849, Parisian leather goods maker Moynat became renowned for making lightweight, waterproof automobile trunks. The House of Moynat was the result of a meeting between Pauline Moynat, who sold travel goods in the Opera district of Paris, and the Coulembier family, manufacturers from the faubourgs. The business remained in the hands of the Coulembier family until 1976. For several years, the house Moynat stopped its activity. In 2010, through his personal holding “Groupe Arnault”, Mr.Bernard Arnault purchased Moynat. Mr. Guillaume Davin has been appointed as Moynat Chief Executive Officer by Mr. Arnault to reinvigorate this iconic brand. Nair has been charged with awakening the company, respecting the impressive imprimatur but making sure that the product resonates with chic, modern members of the touring classes. The entire bag-making process is done by only one highly skilled craftsman. Moynat offers a personalization service with beautiful hand-painted initials.Brand Details
