The company was born at the end of the 70’s as producer of heels and soles and in 1982 began the production of footwear.The first objective of the company was to develop a technology that would automate the production process and better the performance of the product in regards to resistance, comfort and portability.For this reason telling the Inblu story doesn’t only mean telling a story about a product, but especially, telling about the technical development and a big production idea that is at the base of a technological revolution that changed the way of producing sandals and slippers.In 1983 what will be the production revolution of sandals and slippers is born: the CHIPS (in the year of greatest success there were nearly 25 million pairs produced and sold).The characteristic aspect is that the upper part, underneath the foot and the sole are not bound together by glue or other adhesive products, but are literally ‘built together’.The majority of Inblu footwear is produced according to this process, called ‘injection’, during which the extremities of the outer part are inserted into the sole stamp. Injected into the stamp is the polyurethane (high performance plastic material) that reacts and expands, the extremities of the upper part are thus “incorporated” inside the sole.The injection process, that in theory is very simple, is on the contrary complex and very delicate. Its implementation in fact involves a series of measurements and very elaborate techniques to assure a result of absolute quality.
