Born in New Zealand, Emilia spent her formative years in Milan and gained a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Fashion Design and Marketing at Central Saint Martin’s London with honours in 2007. Living in New York, Milan and London, Emilia worked in the design studios at Giorgio Armani, Narciso Rodriguez and Proenza Schouler and on editorial at American Vogue. She founded EMILIA WICKSTEAD in 2008, with private showrooms in Chelsea and Knightsbridge and in October 2009 launched her flagship store in Belgravia, London.
