The company is known for producing baseball and softball bats with innovations that provide enhanced hitting power. Founded by Ray DeMarini in 1989, the company has been a great success since introduction of the world’s first multi-wall bat. Today, the company has expanded its business to softball and baseball apparel. On December 7, 2018, Amer Sports Corp., parent company of the brand, announced buyout negotiations with a consortium led by Anta Sports Products Limited.
