The beaches of Rio de Janeiro are the major source of inspiration for Salinas bikinis. The brand was born in 1982 on the sands of Ipanema, and became a success through its comfortable creations, with a touch of humor and fun. With a new perspective on the habit of going to the beach, Jacqueline and Tunico de Biase began producing bikinis for women who wished to go to the beach with comfort, quality and a differential style, independently from the fashion trends, before opening the first Salinas store in Ipanema in 1982. With the brand making waves in the domestic and international market, Salinas began participating in fashion weeks, with memorable shows that are already part of the Rio de Janeiro fashion agenda. The United States, France, Japan, Russia, Germany, Portugal, Spain and Greece are a few of the 39 countries to which Salinas exports its bikinis. Its creations may be found in large international chains, such as Victoria’s Secret, Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie. Salinas has a pride of place in the celebrated Victoria’s Secret’s catalog, apart from being featured on several covers and editorials in such fashion magazines as Sports Illustrated and Vogue. Madonna and Naomi Campbell are but two of the international personalities that have been won over by the brand’s bikinis. The brand has 11 own stores and 26 franchises in the best points of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and the main state capitals, in addition to a presence in 281 multibrand stores across Brazil and a virtual store that delivers to all over the country.Brand Details
