A yearning for freedom, the glamour of special beaches, hippy chic elegance: Parrot dresses up-to-date girls in an unconventional way. The highlight is on multicolor lace and a flower print for T-shirts with appliqués of gems, beads and bows. Standouts are the hippy-style jacket, the lightweight stonewashed denim, the light blue jeans with appliqués of cabochon flowers, and the mélange sweatshirt with inserts in satin and broderie anglaise, all in shades of pink, yellow and light blue. With a touch of innocence, the Pretty Parrot series finds expression in a pin-up print, maxi-flowers and cabochon and grosgrain necklines. A navy theme of blue and white stripes features on maxi T-shirts illuminated with rhinestones and studs and is joined by polka dots embroidered on dresses and tops and a trio of colors for the jacket in charmeuse fabric. A passe-partout: the nylon trench coat with printed lining. A scarlet heart, the icon of love, is embossed on white sequins for tank tops, dresses, skirts, leggings and tops in embroidered muslin. But it also finds form on pendants that embellish the pieces and gives color to the stitching on pure-white Bull denim fabric. A yen for travel shines through the animalier prints embroidered with rhinestones and leather sequins on T-shirts and slub cotton jersey dresses, the dark denim shorts with yellow stitching and the leopard edging on jackets. The colorful world of surfing has inspired the choice of turquoise and fuchsia for a series of macro-flower prints on cotton and silk, the ribbed chenille shorts and seaside sweatshirts, ribbed “canneté” fabric bows and organza flower pins. Cotton lace is the favored detail of a limited edition in shades of milk white and silver: appliqués, inserts and studs represent the added value for long dresses in silk georgette and crêpon, and for over-shirts, some of which are fringed. The ideas of the junior collection are distilled with masterly touches in the Les Petit Parrotines line for newborn boys and girls.
