The designer and founder of Manoush, Frédérique Trou-Roy, left the French fast-fashion brand Morgan, where she was in charge of accessories in 2002, and headed for Morocco to work on limited-edition accessories. While there, she scoured the street workshops, hunted for old scarves, and had the local craftsmen make leather shopping bags with metal detailing and sequin-embroidered wicker baskets for her. From the escapade, her Parisian label Manoush was born, a melange of gypsy influences and wearable clothes. Today, Manoush has four stores in Paris, including one at 52 rue du Four, and others throughout France with a lively collection that has grown from bohemian gypsy beach items into a complete selection of clothes and accessories produced in Asia. Manoush sells to Bloomingdale's, Kitson in Los Angeles and Harrods.Brand Details
