Longchamp is 60 years old. The brand story began in 1948 when Jean Cassegrain, the father of today's President, founded the company.
Longchamp has handbags that come in a whole range of sizes, in different designs and that can be carried in an equally wide variety of ways. There are also briefcases, diaries, luggage, travelcases or suitcases. Accessories include gloves, belts, scarves, umbrellas and even jewelry.

Longchamp's new eco-friendly line
Available from August 2020, Longchamp launches its new eco-friendly line, Green District. Crafted from ECONYL® regenerated nylon with carefully selected pieces of leather. The revolutionary material is the success of the Italian company Aquafil. Nylon waste recovered from the oceans undergoes treatment and conversion into nylon yarn.
Longchamp downsizes in Russia
Longchamp will take a step back in Russia and have a digital retail presence via its e-shop.
In 2019, the division reportedly generated revenues of €3.28M (RUB263.4M), but suffered losses for €260,000. The lockdown imposed in Russia in the spring, and the slow recovery that followed, put the company’s cash flow under severe pressure.
