Karine Arabian was born and raised in Paris. Her passion for fashion design was nourrished by her grand-father who was a bootmaker. She studied at the most prestigious Parisian fashion design schools: Esmod and Studio Berçot.
In 1993, she was the award winner of the Hyeres contest, one of the most famous design contests in France. Shortly after, she was spotted and hired by Swarovski to design luxury jewelry lines. In 1996, she joined Chanel where she was responsible for the design and production of luxury accessories.
In 2000, she decided to start her own brand and began designing luxury shoes, bags, small leather goods and some jewelry with a very distinctive, subtil and personal style.
In 2004, she is designated Moscow Fashion Week's honored guest. As 2007 was Armenia's year in France, she is awarded an exhibition « Karine Arabian and Armenians in the fashion industry » at Marseille's Fashion Museum.
In 2011, she started a series of collaborations with contemporary artists. Julie Legrand designed two creations for the flagship strore in Paris. Natacha Lesueur designed the Spring-Summer 2013 collection communication campaign.
Karine Arabian is passionate about contemporary art, architecture and design which she mixes with her strong personal creation universe to render her shoes as recognizable as inimitable.
