Jsen Wintle launched his eponymous menswear label Wintle in 2004 and quickly established a reputation for a sophisticated approach to masculine luxury with a sharply modern point of view. Rigorous and impeccable cuts are his trademark, his collections owing as much to architecture as they do to couture, Jsen creates perfectly coherent and timeless designs, accompanied by indispensable accessories. Honed hand tailoring, extensive fabric developments and immaculate couture detailing create a modern gaze on the masculine figure. Jsen Wintle’s journey is the one of a luxury builder and tastemaker obsessed by detail and authentic luxury. His age (33 years old) belies an extensive and rich experience in menswear not only in design, but also in extensive commercial experience in conceiving, source funding and operating a luxury menswear business for 8 years. Jsen conceived his label with skills acquired following his extensive shadowing of a prominent Savile Row tailor and taking inspiration from his previous work in film set design, object and interior design. Jsen launched his first collection in 2004, following the establishment of his bespoke business in 2003. He presented a limited edition demi couture collection accompanied by self--written and directed film. The collection was stocked exclusively by Harvey Nichols and several leading international boutiques. Jsen debuted his high luxury ready to wear line in 2007 on the official Paris schedule, to critical acclaim, and where he has continued to show his collections, while also partaking in London Fashion Weeks. Each season saw the evolution of his label with the additions of dedicated leatherwear, footwear, sunglasses, fur and accessory lines. Jsen’s line has been stocked in stores including Collette, Dover St Market, Harvey Nichols, Tsum, Podium, and Beams, to name but a few. From 2008 – 2011 Jsen designed several lines for Marks and Spencer, under “Jsen Wintle for Marks and Spencer” which launched in 2009 with a sell-out limited edition collection. He also designed a larger line under the Autograph label. Other collaborations also include, shoes for Harry’s of London, a limited edition collection for Birkenstock and the first fur menswear line for Parisian fur house, Yves Salomon. Jsen continues to work with his strong private client base for his modern bespoke and made to measure lines. In addition to designing his own ready to wear, made to measure and bespoke lines, Jsen continues to pursue other creative projects within the fields of photography, architecture and interior design, including designing a restaurant, the full refurbishment of a central London townhouse and several other private commissions for object design. He has also recently undertaken a commission to design a restaurant abroad, due to begin in late 2012. Jsen is also working on the launch of his new limited edition collection of hand made leather goods and digitally printed scarves, jersey and t-shirts.Brand Details
