Beginning as a niche women’s shirting business in 1974, Country Road has evolved into Australia's first lifestyle brand for women, men, children and home; renowned for stylish, high-quality apparel, accessories and homeware. In 1998, Woolworth Holdings Ltd South Africa secured a controlling interest in Country Road and in 2004 Country Road was relaunched with a fresh modern identity. The positive response successfully shifted the brand direction towards a younger audience while identifying a gap in the market which led to the launch of Trenery in 2009. Since 2004, the store network in Australasia and South Africa has expanded rapidly to include 71 retail stores, 7 clearance stores and 93 concession stores in Australia’s leading department stores David Jones and Myer and Woolworths South Africa.Brand Details
