Clarins is a French cosmetics company that was founded by Jacques Courtin-Clarins in 1954. It was then that he decided whilst still studying medicine to “take beauty seriously” and developed one unique philosophy: develop a dialogue with women to satisfy their desires for well-being and respect them by offering a range of the best plant-based skin care products distinguished by their innovation and effectiveness. Clarins were the first company to use 100% pure plant extracts.
By 1970, Clarins was spreading internationally, with celebrities desperate to get their hands on their world famous creams and lotions. Their products and application methods were met with an enormous success and they have since become the European leader in skin care products.
Clarins have branched out into perfume and make-up as well as developing a special skin care range just for men, ClarinsMen. They offer a wide range of gift ideas as well as everyday items for your every day woman. Clarins are proud to tell their customers that none of their products are tested on animals, which is very reassuring.
Even today, Clarins is still a family run business with the son of Jacques Courtin-Clarins heading up the company.
