BENSIMON : a visionary brand which turns the traditional fashion and design codes upside down by transforming military surplus gear and vintage clothing.

For many years, the brand collaborated on the American market with big names like Banana Republic not only on the shoe front but also on ready-to-wear.

The eighties saw the beginning of the adventure with the opening of the first stores. Everything started in Le Marais, Rue des Francs Bourgeois, with Autour Du Monde which is the name of the stores carrying the Bensimon collections: ageless, casual, inspired by the travelling world. Brands like The Gap have since taken over this idea…

Several store openings followed particularly HOME AUTOUR DU MONDE , an innovative concept and a first in France, where decorative objects and ready-to-wear were mixed harmoniously.

Throughout the years, the brand has never ceased to extend its concept and has developed its network of stores around the country.

More recently, BENSIMON has acquired the ARTAZART bookshop and therefore has started to extend its influence into design, graphic design and architecture.

The only thing missing for Serge Bensimon was a place where he could express his love of contemporary art and design. This is how Gallery S. Bensimon was born…
