1ST PAT-RN (from First Pattern) takes inspiration from pieces produced in old knitting factories. During our research work we came up with pieces of clothing stamped with the writing FIRST PATTERN, which probably means they were the prototypes for the initial production. Every piece of our collection 1ST PAT-RN therefore will have this print. The starting idea of this project is to reproduce today, with theincomparable Italian quality, the concepts of excellence and research of the manufacturers who produced on international scale at the end of the 40s. Those who used the best yarns and knitted fabrics, which very often came from the military world where quality, resistance and textile construction have always been of the most importance. Nowadays many of these fabrics and yarns are very difficult to find and most of them aren't produced anymore, mainly because of the lack of textile production awareness and research knowledge. Starting from that knowledge we tried to produce a revival of the tangible quality of those manufacturers with some basic and simple pieces, which very often remember military garments and for this first season will be for men only. After long research on yarns and following the original hand-made philosophy, we came up with a small production which will be available at first only to a few selected shops. Following our interpretation at this early stage we will create clothes which take inspiration from what we like to call "the master book", where we found a great deal of information about traditional manufacturers and from which we took inspiration for our trade mark. 1ST PAT-RN is designed by Cristiano Berto and produced in Italy from the yarn to the final finishing and therefore wants to bring to light and value the "yarn and textile awareness" through the use of original and old patternsBrand Details
