$225 Million For Lucky Brand Jeans

Fifth and Pacific Companies, Inc. has sold its Lucky Brand to an affiliate of Leonard Green & Partners for $225 million. It said to have done so to focus more on its higher-end bags brand Kate Spade -that has been witnessing lately a steady exponential growth- so it can reach its full potential.

The transaction has come after another sale of the sort where Fifth and Pacific Companies, Inc. exchanged its Juicy Couture bridge business to Authentic Brands, a unit of Leonard Green, for $195 million last October.
