Schwarz Etienne was founded back in 1902 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, The world capital of watch making industry in Switzerland. La Chaux-de-Fonds was build by and for the watch making industry and it has obtained for its unique town building an inscription at the World Patromony of UNESCO. A very fast moving time where the authentic and historical birthplace of the Swiss watch making industry has know its Golden Age. In full expansion, the town of the famous architecte Le Corbusier sent then out all over the whole world the joyous watch makers, to say London, New York, Beijing, Roma, Rio de Janeiro, St-Petersburg… Paul Arthur Schwarz and his associated wife Olga, founder of the Brand positioned their company right at the beginning as a leading Swiss manufacture as far as it concerned the assembling of mechanical movements of high value. The authority the company obtained all over these years permitted them to ensure the production of watches of famous brands like Chanel, Dunhill, Coventry, Mauboussin, Levrette, Vénus and many others. The company Schwarz Etienne was taken over in 2003 by the company Wilhelm & Cie SA who was associated with Raffaello Radicchi (now the only shareholder). Then Schwarz Etienne knew a spectacular revival accompanied by a continuous development and the winning of new markets. Schwarz Etienne became a Manufacture by manufacturing its own mechanical movements.
