Italian retailer, Pittarello, recently received an equity investment of an undisclosed amount from Italian VC firm, 21 Investimenti. The retailer’s presence in Northern Italy and Croatia is strengthening and the firm intends to expand with 30 additional stores in Italy as well as solidify its clientele base as a result of the recent funding. 21 Investimenti was founded in 1992 by Alessandro Benetton. Within 6 years, the firm developed a division in France. Over the last 15 years, 21 has built an experienced team of more than 40 professionals and made over 70 investments. Although the brand was established over 40 years ago, it currently operates 44 stores in Italy and 9 in Croatia, mostly in shopping malls. Its philosophy is “based on competence, and sensible, realistic behavior.” Furthermore, the brand aims to address shoppers’ five senses within their boutiques. Attention is paid with regard to lighting and displays with the aim to captivate customers. In the newest boutique, for instance, Pitarello offers fluorescent under-lighting as well as modern shelving. At its core, however, Pitarello banks on the quality it guarantees with shoes for men, women, children and has recently expanded into the realm of small and large leather goods.Brand Details
