Carmelinas, made in Spain (with love), is a luxury brand that reinvents traditional shoes adapting them to our contemporary lives. Our Founder and Creative Director, Lina Gutierrez, is keen on attention to detail and is passionate about shoes. She has lived in Miami, Paris and Madrid, and these cities' colors and lights have served as an inspiration for her, which she transcends into each Carmelina. For the past seven years, she has been based in Spain, and it is here where she has learned to value the fine craftsmanship and dedication placed into the manufacturing of shoes in the country. After visiting a factory in Alicante, best known for the shoe production in Spain, Lina grew a fond interest in what it meant to assemble a shoe. Since then, she has devoted herself to the project and supports the fine craftsmen of the region. This is a project about the love for shoes, the love of the people manufacturing the shoes, and the love that you will have for your Carmelinas. The result is a free spirited, innovative and classic concept which blends beauty, timelessness and comfort to form an integral part of our daily lives.
